A weaving tradition from Central Anatolia

Konya has been one of Turkey's most important kilim-weaving regions for centuries. Konya kilims are known for their bold medallions, strong colour contrasts and motifs passed down through generations of village weavers, each carrying its own meaning, from protection to fertility and good fortune.

Where it works

The balanced, almost square proportions make this kilim easy to place: in front of a sofa, under a round coffee table, in a reading corner, beside a bed or as a welcoming entryway piece. The burgundy base pairs well with timber floors, neutral walls and both modern and traditional furniture.

Care
