An authentic Anatolian Yörük rug, handmade between 1960 and 1975 by nomadic tribes of the Middle and South Taurus Mountains. Made entirely from hand-spun wool coloured with traditional natural vegetable dyes, it is a collector-grade cultural textile.
The Yörük tradition
The Yörük are the nomadic Turkic communities of the Taurus Mountains. Their rugs, woven for their own tents and homes, are known for bold geometry, saturated natural colours and thick, hard-wearing wool.
