A warm vintage Anatolian kilim built from fine stripes of crimson, plum, grey and sage, broken up by richly patterned bands. Wide bands of stepped diamonds in red, charcoal, green and ivory alternate with narrow mustard bands of small lilac and green motifs, finished with a cream fringe at each end.

The Anatolian kilim tradition

Kilims have been woven across Anatolia for centuries, by village and Yörük weavers who pass motifs and techniques down through families. Banded designs like this one, with stripes and rows of diamonds, are among the most traditional Anatolian layouts.
