The Ayvacık tradition

Ayvacık, in north-western Turkey near the ancient site of Troy, is home to village weavers who still use hand-spun wool and traditional designs. Ayvacık rugs are known for bold geometry and earthy natural colours.

Where it works

At 120 × 200 cm, this rug is ideal beside a bed, in a study, entryway or reading corner. Its warm red palette adds character to both modern and traditional rooms.

Care

Vacuum regularly without the beater bar, rotate every few months for even wear, and blot spills straight away with a damp cloth. For deep cleaning, we recommend a professional rug cleaner.
