What makes a cicim kilim special

Cicim (pronounced "jee-jim") is a decorative technique in which extra coloured threads are wrapped over the base weave, so the motifs sit slightly raised on the surface. It takes far longer than a plain kilim and gives the piece a rich, embroidered look.

At 77 × 160 cm, this small kilim is ideal beside a bed, in an entryway, bathroom or reading corner.

Care
